Barry University School of Law —Environmental & Earth Law Journal — Call for Submissions — Volume 16

Barry University School of Law Environmental & Earth Law Journal invites submissions for Volume 16. We seek high-quality scholarship on diverse and novel Environmental law topics. We welcome submissions from practitioners, professors, and J.D. students. Both full-length articles and shorter notes are invited, with a strong preference for manuscripts under 25,000 words (about 50 law review pages, inclusive of text and footnotes).

If your environmental-related article did not find placement during the spring submission cycle, we encourage you to submit it for consideration. The Review also invites newly completed scholarship and welcomes submissions from authors seeking a timely and engaged publication process. We are actively reviewing submissions and look forward to working with authors to publish high-quality pieces.

Priority Review Deadline: May 15, 2026
Submissions received by this date will receive priority consideration for Volume 16, Issue. We will continue to review submissions on a rolling basis thereafter.

We encourage you to explore our previous Journal issues on Lexis or Westlaw to get a sense of our publication and to spark ideas for your own submission.

Submission Requirements

Please ensure that all submissions conform to the following specifications:

1.    File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or Adobe PDF, with word count included

2.    Formatting: 12-point font (or larger); footnotes preferred

3.    Attachments: Cover letter or abstract, and a CV or résumé

4.    Citations: Must conform to the most recent edition of The Bluebook; citations to Florida sources should follow the Florida Style Manual
