Previously ranked number six among most impactful human rights journals in the world, the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review’s goal is to publish well-written, cutting-edge human rights scholarship by academics, practitioners, and students. In so doing, the journal provides a forum for the exchange of ideas from a variety of intercultural perspectives. The journal strives to analyze detrimental corporate conduct, assess the long-term solutions in the adaptation of human rights standards to business practices, and facilitate potential policy outcomes, activism, and community outreach by sponsoring numerous intimate discussions and debates on a wide variety of human rights issues.

Corporations impact human rights in many different facets of life. Employees, local and foreign communities, and the environment are all potential victims of corporate activity. Numerous efforts have been imposed to mitigate business operations to protect against human rights abuse on all types of enterprises. The longstanding practice has been for the corporations to honor their voluntary initiatives. Corporate complicity in human rights abuse goes beyond the drive to increase profits but often oversteps into a fashion of corruption resulting in forced labor, breaches of privacy, war crimes, and broken supply chains. Corporate responsibility should walk in alignment with respecting human rights. Noting that the intersection of business and human rights has transformed over the years, now is the time for collective action and commitment in our post-pandemic world.

Interested scholars should email biographical information and proposed topic no later than Monday, September 30, 2022 to ihrlawreview@stu.edu.
