The Thurgood Marshall Law Review at Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law invites scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and jurists to submit articles for publication in Volume 51, Issue 1 (Fall 2026).
All submissions must:
Comply with the Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (22nd ed.) and the Texas Rules of Form (Greenbook, 16th ed.);
Include a cover sheet with the author’s name, title, affiliation, and contact information;
Contain a detailed table of contents and table of authorities;
Be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format via Scholastica;
Include a minimum of 100 footnotes drawn from at least twenty sources (five law review articles, five cases, five books, and five of the author’s choice);
Contain at least 15 pages of substantive text, excluding citations.
