Call for Submissions: The American Journal of Law and Medicine invites submissions for publication in Volume 51, to be published in the 2024-2025 year.

The American Journal of Law and Medicine employs a broad scope to cover topics related to health law and policy, including the legal, policy, and ethical aspects of public health and health care. We are seeking original and timely legal scholarship. Past issues have featured topics such as antitrust, bioethics and medical ethics, reproductive health rights and justice, health care fraud and abuse, and food, drug, and medical device regulation. This is not an exhaustive list of topics; we highly encourage submission of articles relating to additional topics in health law and policy, as the health law field is constantly evolving.

We are currently looking for scholarly articles that are between approximately 15-40 pages in length, including footnotes. All article text and footnotes should conform to The Bluebook (21st ed.). Articles can be submitted through Scholastica or by e-mail (ajlm@bu.edu). Prior to acceptance for publication, manuscripts will be reviewed through a double-blind peer review process which includes a review by AJLM's editorial board and peer reviewers possessing expertise related to an article's subject matter. Authors will be notified of manuscript decisions within approximately four to five weeks of receipt, depending on the length of the manuscript.

The American Journal of Law & Medicine is a student-run publication that is part of one of the nation's leading Health Law programs at Boston University. The American Journal of Law & Medicine has an audience that spans students and faculty at the law school and the broader health sciences community at Boston University and beyond. As such, publication with the American Journal of Law & Medicine will give your article a significant voice within the academic community and the broader legal, medical and life sciences communities at large.

We look forward to receiving and reviewing your submissions!
