The Sustainable Development Law & Policy Brief (SDLP) is accepting submissions for Volume 27, to be published in the 2026-2027 cycle.
Sustainable Development Law & Policy journal is a student-run initiative at American University Washington College of Law that focuses on reconciling the tensions between environmental sustainability, economic development, and human welfare. The SDLP journal embraces an interdisciplinary approach to provide a fuller view of current legal, political, and social developments. Our mission is to serve as a valuable resource for practitioners, policy makers, and concerned citizens promoting sustainable development throughout the world. Affiliated with the Program on Environmental and Energy Law (PEEL), we print biannually and examine issues like climate change, environmental justice, clean energy, and human rights.
Authors should submit an electronic copy of the manuscript through Scholastica or directly to the SDLP editors at sdlp.wcl@gmail.com. By submitting a manuscript, the author implies that it is an original unpublished work. No AI generated material will be considered. Thank you.
