Chapman Law Review welcomes articles on a broad range of legal topics. We prefer full-length articles (at least 15,000 words), though shorter articles will be considered as well.
How to Submit: Submit your article through Scholastica. If that is not possible, email it to chapmanlawreview.submissions@gmail.com.
Please include: Manuscript in Word or PDF, Resume/CV, and a short abstract.
What We Look For: Strong submissions demonstrate a clear thesis, compliance with The Bluebook citation format, and innovative or unique legal analysis.
Volume 30 Timeline:
-First General Issue
-Second General Issue
-Symposium Issue on a topic to be announced
In general, four to five articles are selected per issue.
Expedited Review: If you receive an offer from another journal, you may request expedited review via Scholastica. Include the name of the offering journal and the response deadline. While we will do our best to accommodate, expedited review does not guarantee a quicker or favorable decision.
Editing Process: Accepted articles will go through a collaborative and thorough editing process led by our exceptional editing team.
