We are pleased to inform you that the Denver Law Review is currently soliciting articles and proposals for its "Recent Development in the Tenth Circuit" Issue, to be published in Issue 2 of Volume 100, scheduled for publication in early 2023.
Every year, the Denver Law Review devotes its second issue to topics of special interest for the Tenth Circuit. The purpose of the Tenth Circuit issue is to provide a forum for scholarship by professors, practitioners, judges, and law clerks on topics that have particular importance to the Tenth Circuit and/or its constituent states—Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming. Past contributors have written on a variety of pertinent topics including: the trial of Aurora, Colorado theater shooter James Holmes; the Tenth Circuit's Title IX decisions; public access to oral argument recordings within the Tenth Circuit; and the Colorado Supreme Court's response to COVID-19. A strong article need not be specific to a case decided by the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. The Denver Law Review seeks to publish timely articles that raise issues related to the Tenth Circuit itself or the states within it.
Interested authors should email either an article or a two-page proposal for an article to Casey Kiernan, Tenth Circuit Articles Editor, at ckiernan23@law.du.edu with the subject line "DLR 10th Circuit Issue." Interested authors should use the proposal to concisely state the topic they plan to write on, their main argument, and why it is a timely piece for the Tenth Circuit Issue. Interested authors may also reach out to Casey should they have any questions as they prepare their proposals. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, April 22 at 11:59 p.m.
