Call for Submissions:
The Drake Law Review (DLR) is accepting submissions for Volume 73, Issue 4, and Volume 74.
The DLR contents benefit the courts, practicing attorneys, professors, students, and others researching the law. A typical issue contains Articles written by attorneys, judges, or professors, and Notes written by our own student editors on specific areas of law. The DLR has historically been committed to publishing a diverse selection of articles that are practical in application, yet forward-thinking.
We invite submissions from legal scholars, including professors, judges, practicing attorneys, policymakers, and advocates. Articles written by current law students that are not DLR editors or recent graduates will not be considered for publication.
Submission Guidelines
- Manuscripts should be no longer than 25,000 words, including footnotes.
- Submissions should follow Bluebook citation format and use footnotes exclusively.
- We welcome articles across a broad range of legal fields. Articles that focus on Iowa or the Eighth Circuit are preferred.
- Authors may submit manuscripts through Scholastica.
Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all available slots are filled. We look forward to reviewing your submissions.
