The Fordham Urban Law Journal is accepting articles and essays for publication in the second issue of Volume 54. As part of its tradition of themed issues, Volume 54.2 will be open for any article that deals with urban issues, urbanism, city planning, or topics of law that intersect with these issues.
The Journal is particularly interested in work that combines doctrinal, empirical, or policy-oriented analysis with concrete insights for domestic reform. Volume 54.2 is scheduled for publication in November 2026. We wish to explore the topic from a variety of perspectives. We will accept proposals and outlines on this topic.
Deadlines:
Outline/Abstract Deadline: July 15, 2026
First Drafts Due: Aug. 7, 2026
We are seeking both essays over 5,000 words and articles over 10,000 words, and will review proposals and outlines on a rolling basis until abstracts are due on July 15, 2026. We expect to receive first drafts no later than August 7, 2026.
