We are currently accepting submissions for two issues: Vol. 2026 Issue II and Vol. 2027 Issue I.

Both issues are open to any area of scholarship as it relates to alternative dispute resolution. The Journal seeks to publish authors from diverse backgrounds. The Law Review welcomes submissions from professors, judges, and practicing lawyers. Unfortunately, we cannot consider submissions from students outside the journal’s own membership. Thank you for you interest in the Journal of Dispute Resolution.

How to Submit:
Vol. 2026 Issue II submissions: Please submit draft manuscripts through Scholastica by Sept. 30, 2026. Anticipated Publication January/February of 2027.

Vol. 2027 Issue I submission: Please submit draft manuscripts through Scholastica by December. 1, 2026. Anticipated Publication June of 2027.

Submission Guidelines

Length: The Journal of Dispute Resolution values succinct arguments. We strongly prefer manuscripts less than 30,000 words in length, including footnotes. Manuscripts that exceed 35,000 words will be considered only in exceptional circumstances.

Format: Text and citations should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (22d ed. 2025). Submissions conforming to the 21st edition are acceptable; however, the Journal will edit such citations accordingly. Manuscripts must use footnotes, as opposed to endnotes.

Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all available slots are filled.

We look forward to reviewing your submissions.

Sincerely,
The Journal of Dispute Resolution Editorial Board
