The Latin American & Caribbean Law Review (“LCLR”) at Florida International University College of Law is looking for one final piece to complete Volume 1.2, which will be published in Fall 2026.
For this final spot, LCLR is seeking original legal scholarship that meaningfully engages with Latin America, the Caribbean, or their diaspora communities. We welcome scholarship addressing contemporary legal developments in the region and particularly encourage work that brings regional, comparative, or transnational perspectives to emerging legal and policy conversations.
Topics of Interest
We welcome submissions addressing a broad range of legal and policy issues, including, but not limited to:
- Constitutional governance and democratic institutions in Latin American and Caribbean jurisdictions
- International commercial arbitration, trade, and cross-border dispute resolution involving the region
- Migration, diaspora communities, and transnational legal frameworks affecting Latin American and Caribbean populations
- Human rights, environmental governance, and social policy developments across the region
- Comparative analyses of civil law and common law systems within Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States
- Emerging legal, economic, political, and social issues affecting the region and its global communities
Submission Guidelines
LCLR welcomes articles, essays, notes, comments, and other original legal scholarship from legal scholars and practitioners. Submissions should be original and unpublished and should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation and The Chicago Manual of Style.
Authors should submit their manuscript and a current curriculum vitae through Scholastica or via email at lclreic@fiu.edu. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis until Friday, September 11, 2026.
