Call for Submissions:

The UC Davis Law Review has reopened submissions for Issues 3 and 4 of Volume 60, scheduled for publication in Spring 2027. We have limited slots available and welcome original legal scholarship that makes meaningful contributions to legal doctrine, policy, and public discourse.

We invite submissions from legal scholars, including professors, judges, practicing attorneys, policymakers, and advocates. Articles written by current law students or recent graduates will not be considered for publication.

Submission Guidelines:

(1) Manuscripts should be no longer than 30,000 words, including footnotes.

(2) Submissions should follow Bluebook citation format and use footnotes exclusively.

(3) We welcome articles across a broad range of legal fields, including scholarship that engages with legal doctrine, policy analysis, regulatory reform, institutional change, and emerging legal issues.

(4) Authors may submit manuscripts through Scholastica. The current production schedule is as follows:

  • Issue 3 (Draft Due: July 17, 2026 | Anticipated Publication: March 2027)
  • Issue 4 (Draft Due: September 6, 2026 | Anticipated Publication: April 2027)

Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all available slots are filled.

We look forward to reviewing your submissions.

Sincerely,
The UC Davis Law Review Editorial Board
