The University of the District of Columbia Law Review (UDC Law Review) invites articles for our next volume topic: The Modern Civil Rights Crisis: Law, Race, & Democracy in an Era of Regression.
We are seeking articles about how civil-rights protections can weaken and be narrowed by courts or legislatures, or become less effective in practice—even when the formal legal rights remain on the books. It connects race, constitutional law, political power, inequality, and democratic institutions. Topics include, but are not limited, to voting rights, race and constitutional law, criminal justice and policing, education and race equality, technology and civil rights, free speech, and/or economic and housing justice.
