In terms of citation frequency, the Journal consistently ranks within the top 4% of the nearly 1000 law reviews nationwide.  Our publications have been cited multiple times by the United States Supreme Court, nearly every United States Court of Appeals, and over 40 state supreme courts, including, on numerous occasions, the Texas Supreme Court.

The members of the St. Mary’s Law Journal are proud of our ranking as one of the country’s most frequently cited law reviews.  In hopes of maintaining this tradition of excellence in legal scholarship, the Editorial Board is now requesting submissions for publication in the four issues of Volume 52 scheduled to print in 2020–2021.  We are also accepting submissions for Volume 11 of the St. Mary’s Journal on Legal Malpractice & Ethics, the nation’s leading law review focused on legal malpractice, professional responsibility, and ethical issues in the legal profession.
