The Columbia Human Rights Law Review is currently accepting submissions for publication in Volume 50 (2018-2019) and  Volume 51.1 (Fall 2019), which will accompany our Symposium in the Spring of 2019. Please see more details below and on our Submissions and Symposia page.

Like most of its volumes, HRLR's Volume 50 will include publications dealing directly with, or otherwise relevant to, current ideas in international human rights and domestic civil rights law, including pieces from interdisciplinary perspectives.

HRLR's 50th Anniversary Symposium Issue though will focus on issues and topics related to forced displacement and the movement of persons. With this, we hope to look at topics such as the refugee crisis and related conditions of confinement and access to attorneys; the effects of gentrification and climate change; public health implications stemming from movement of persons; the United States’ immigration system, and more. This is not an exhaustive list and we welcome papers that branch out from our central theme.
