The William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal is now accepting proposals for its Spring 2027 Symposium! 

What to Include in Your Proposal: 

A detailed description of the Symposium idea. Please address the topic’s timeliness and its contribution to scholarship in constitutional law. Please provide as much detail as possible. 

A list of contributors who will serve as speakers and make written contributions for the Symposium Issue, published Winter 2027-2028.

The name and contact information of the proposed symposium Organizer, who will serve as the point person for coordination and decisions with the Journal Executive Board; and

How to Submit a Proposal: 

To submit your proposal, please email a copy of your CV(s) and proposal to mbmoro@wm.edu. The Bill of Rights Journal will accept submissions until April 24, 2026

Proposal Selection:

After April 24, 2026, the Bill of Rights Journal will review all submissions. The Bill of Rights Journal may request more information or the opportunity to discuss the proposal in further detail. The Bill of Rights Journal will notify organizers of a final decision by May 29, 2026. 

The Journal will review each proposal based on: 

Originality, timelines, academic quality and diversity of perspective, and societal impact.

Publication of the Symposium Issue: 

The 2027 Symposium will be held during Spring 2027 Semester. The Bill of Rights Journal will publish five to seven articles/essays dedicated to the symposium topic in Volume 36 of the Bill of Rights Journal, published during the 2027-2028 academic year.
