About Me

Formerly the Executive Editor for the Buffalo Law Review, Karen is an associate professor at SUNY Fredonia.  She has published articles in various academic journals, as well as chapters in peer-reviewed book editions.  Karen's interests include criminal law, Native law, education law, juveniles, forensic linguistics, language rights, immigration, and issues in sociolinguistics as related to vulnerable populations and the criminal justice system.
