About Me

I am a PhD student at Texas A&M University.

My thesis entitled "Identity and Social Networks Among First Generation College Students" looked at self-reported success among first generation college students compared to non-first generation college students and investigated the identity formation of a new identity in relation to social networks and support.

I am finishing up my last semester of coursework and will be taking my preliminary exams soon. My dissertation will utilize a longitudinal panel study and assess the relationship between change in sexuality (a salient identity) on stressors and mental health outcomes.
