About Me

I teach legal ethics (legal profession), evidence, advanced criminal procedure, trial advocacy, and introduction to forensic child psychiatry at our medical school. My last publications appear in the Journal of the American Dental Association (JADA) focusing on pediatric dental neglect and pediatric dental abuse and the ethical duty of dental professionals to report these patient conditions. I have written extensively on juvenile competency to stand trial, juvenile mental health and the law, and various legal ethics issues connected to the representation of child clients. I have been teaching at Tulane and have been the director of the Juvenile Law Clinic for the past 37 years,
