EPJ hosts some of the most highly regarded scholars and practitioners in the field of estate planning and community property law. In its first year of publication, EPJ won the Texas Bar Foundation’s Outstanding Law Review Article Award; a second time in 2016, a third in 2020, and a fourth in 2025.
Format. Authors should submit manuscripts in edit-ready MS Word format (.doc, .docx) or PDF format. We strongly recommend that submissions utilize a table of contents with page numbers. There are no other specific formatting requirements.
Footnotes. Footnotes are required for sentences that make factual claims or legal propositions. Citations should be in footnote format with citations conforming to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (22nd ed.) and, when appropriate, The Greenbook: Texas Rules of Style (14th ed.).
