Overview
The Florida State University Business Review invites submissions for one final publication opportunity in Volume 26. The volume examines how law, markets, and regulatory institutions are responding to rapid technological development, financial innovation, shifting enforcement priorities, and an increasingly interconnected global economy.
Volume 26 will feature scholarship by Alan J. Meese; Arthur E. Wilmarth, Jr.; Sergio Mejía Aguilar; and Andrew P. Morriss, Eric Alston, and May Hen. Their contributions address subjects ranging from competition and administrative authority to financial regulation, artificial intelligence, pharmaceutical liability, and the legal infrastructure supporting global digital economies.
The Review welcomes articles addressing these and related subjects, including:
- Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies;
- Banking, securities, fintech, and digital assets;
- Antitrust, competition, and consumer protection;
- Administrative law, regulatory enforcement, and institutional change;
- Corporate governance, compliance, and business regulation;
- International and comparative approaches to innovation;
- Technology’s effects on healthcare, labor, energy, and other regulated markets; and
- Other timely questions involving the changing relationship among markets, technology, and government.
This list is illustrative rather than exhaustive. We welcome creative approaches that fit within the volume’s broader theme.
Symposium Opportunity
Volume 26 will anchor the Business Review’s annual symposium, which will be held in February at the Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee.
The symposium will bring together scholars, international speakers, and attorneys from leading national law firms for a day of discussion concerning the forces reshaping modern markets. The author selected through this call will also be invited to present at the symposium. Participation is optional and is not a condition of publication. The Business Review will provide travel and lodging for participating invited speakers.
A Home for Important Scholarship
We recognize that excellent scholarship does not always find placement during its initial submission cycle. Timing, limited journal capacity, and an increasingly crowded submissions market can leave thoughtful and timely work without the audience it deserves.
If you have a strong manuscript related to this theme that remains unplaced, we would welcome the opportunity to give it prompt and serious consideration. Submission Information
Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the final position in Volume 26 is filled. Authors should submit their manuscript, current curriculum vitae, and a brief abstract through Scholastica. For priority consideration, manuscripts should be submitted by September 10, 2026.
