Thank you for taking the time to learn about the University of Baltimore Law Forum.
The award-winning University of Baltimore Law Forum is a journal of legal scholarship concentrating on developing trends and topics unique to the Maryland community. Founded in 1970, Law Forum is the oldest journal at the University of Baltimore School of Law, publishing two issues per volume. The journal provides practitioners and the larger community with a one-stop location for gaining insight and information on the changes shaping the practice of law in Maryland. The student-reviewed journal includes articles from students and faculty, as well as attorney’s, judges, and legislators.
All submissions must conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed. 2020). The Law Forum also follows the guidelines found in the Texas Law Review Manual on Usage and Style (15th ed. 2020).
Volume 54 of Law Forum intends to publish “Articles” typically around 20-25 pages and long-form “Essays” ranging between 8-12 pages, but submissions of all kinds are reviewed, welcome, and encouraged.
