About Me

I started a legal career in the practice of law and transitioned to legal academia. My experience in academia includes; experiential education, teaching doctrinal courses, academic support, and directing legal programs - legal writing and clinical programs.

My previous exposure to the experiential teaching style reshaped my attitude toward academic teaching and learning. Thus, my teaching philosophy on education became one not driven by teaching alone; but rather driven by providing a learning opportunity for students.

What has been consistent in my roles at various law schools and in various aspects of legal academia is the ability to teach students, regardless of learning style, how to learn. Not only can I teach in a classroom setting, but I also conduct workshops and labs, provide formative feedback, provide assistance on basic and advanced writing, and support analytical skills training. I also provide individual and small-group counseling on study skills, bar prep, and provide feedback on student practice exams and exercises.

After working hard, I also play hard.  In my personal life, I attend many entertainment activities and travel.  I found a way to add more fun, fulfillment, and freedom to my life by creating memories with friends and family. I accepted the idea that I had an eye problem. I could no longer "see" myself living a life without adventure and fulfillment. Therefore, I seek out the world and all of the excitement that it has to offer through travel.
