About Me
William G. Hyland Jr. is a former Adjunct Professor of Law at Stetson
University College of Law and practicing trial lawyer. He is the published
author of six books, including IN DEFENSE OF THOMAS JEFFERSON (St. Martins,
2009) nominated for the Virginia Literary Award and GEORGE MASON:
THE FOUNDING FATHER WHO GAVE US THE BILL OF RIGHTS (Regnery Books (2019). He
has over thirty years of appellate, complex civil and criminal litigation
experience. Mr. Hyland graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in
Political Science and the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University
(J.D.). Mr. Hyland is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia,
Florida, Alabama, and Colorado; the U.S. Supreme Court; the Eleventh Circuit
Court of Appeals; and the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Southern
Districts of Florida. Before Law School, Mr. Hyland worked with a TOP SECRET
security clearance for the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. His
publications and book reviews have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The
Weekly Standard and The Huffington Post. Mr. Hyland also served on the Judicial Nominating
Commission in Florida. Before law school, the author held a TOP SECRET security
clearance and worked for the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency
