Ayodele Babalola is a licensed attorney in Nigeria. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where he was a Guzman Scholar and specialized in Public Law and Environmental & Energy Law. He also holds a Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, where he received the Dean’s Scholarship, and his research focused on institutional and constitutional designs and enforcement regimes for campaign finance regulation and law. He was also a Researcher affiliated with the UCLA Law Promise Institute for Human Rights. As an attorney, his practice includes constitutional, civil, election, human rights, and commercial litigation in Nigerian courts and the ECOWAS Court. He has also participated in international election observation missions, assisting with the analysis of campaign finance laws and conducting training on them for long-term observers from Europe. He is the author of “The Nigerian Campaign Finance Law,” Nigeria’s first law textbook on the subject.
