Dear Authors,

The University of Baltimore Law Review is seeking panelists for our Spring Symposium, titled: The Great Regression: Immigration Law in Crisis. The Symposium will serve as a forum for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to share ideas related to the impact of the Trump Administration’s immigration policies. For interested authors, a select number of papers will be published in a special Symposium issue of the Law Review. We hope you will join us on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the John and Frances Angelos Law Center.

The Symposium will explore the legal implications of mass deportations, the Administration’s invocation of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, proposed limitations on birthright citizenship, changes in access to social benefits and work authorizations, ICE presence in American cities, and the surveillance of visa holders and Permanent Residents.  We also welcome papers that identify other legal challenges affecting immigration law or that encourage a constructive path forward.

To submit a presentation proposal, please email your CV and a 500-word abstract to ublawreview@ubalt.edu by January 5, 2026. We will notify presenters whether they were selected by January 12, 2026. Draft presentations will be due March 13, 2026, so that commenters can prepare their remarks. For those interested in publication, final papers should be between 4,000 and 12,000 words and will be due on May 15, 2026.

We look forward to your submissions. If you have further questions, please contact the University of Baltimore Law Review at ublawreview@ubalt.edu.

Kind regards,

John B. Osborne
