The Saint Louis University Law Journal is accepting submissions for the Teaching Civil Liberties issue.

In our Teaching Civil Liberties issue, we welcome submissions on any subject matter within the context of privacy law, property rights, digital rights, and other civil liberties. This includes topics such as data privacy, the Fourth Amendment, surveillance, freedom of expression, and emerging technology law.

Articles for our Teaching Series are usually between 2500–4000 words (approximately 10–15 double-spaced pages) long, although we regularly publish articles as long as 30 pages and as short as 5 pages. Because the articles focus on the author’s own thoughts on teaching, only limited reference to outside sources is needed.

We anticipate publishing this issue in the spring of 2027, and therefore ask that you submit your article by submitting via Scholastica or, by emailing Lekha Nettem, Managing Editor, for review by September 21, 2026. Her email is lekha.nettem@slu.edu

Please feel free to contact Lekha for further information on this opportunity.
