The Latin American & Caribbean Law Review ("LCLR") at Florida International University – College of Law invites submissions for Volume 1.2, to be published in Fall 2026. The deadline for these submissions is April 12, 2026.

Founded to advance rigorous scholarship on the legal systems, institutions, and policy developments shaping Latin America, the Caribbean, and their diaspora communities, LCLR serves as a forum for interdisciplinary and comparative legal analysis addressing some of the most pressing issues affecting the region.

Following the successful publication of its inaugural volume, LCLR welcomes submissions for Volume 1.2 that explore contemporary legal developments affecting Latin America and the Caribbean. We encourage contributions that engage with both regional and transnational perspectives.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Constitutional governance and democratic institutions in Latin American and Caribbean jurisdictions
• International commercial arbitration, trade, and cross-border dispute resolution involving the Region
• Migration, diaspora communities, and transnational legal frameworks affecting Latin American and Caribbean populations
• Human rights, environmental governance, and social policy developments across the Region
• Comparative analyses of civil law and common law systems within Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States

Submission Guidelines

LCLR welcomes manuscripts from legal scholars and practitioners. Submissions must be original and unpublished. Authors should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation and The Chicago Manual of Style.

While we generally prefer manuscripts under 25,000 words (including footnotes), longer works may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Submission Deadline

Please submit manuscripts and a current curriculum vitae through Scholastica or via email to lclr.fiulaw@gmail.com no later than April 12, 2026. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and publication decisions will be communicated via Scholastica or email.

The Editorial Board looks forward to reviewing scholarship that advances the study of legal and policy issues shaping Latin America, the Caribbean, and their global diasporas.

Sincerely,

Daniela Gonzalez
