The Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law is excited to announce that Issue Two of Volume 35 will be themed in honor of the 240th Anniversary of the Constitutional Convention as a special symposium issue centered on how global legal perspectives shaped the United States Constitution and the continuing international influence on and of the document. We are thrilled to open our call for submission in anticipation of our spring symposium: 240 Years of the United States Constitution: a Comparative Constitutional Dialogue.

We invite the submission of scholarly articles on a broad range of topics pertaining to constitutional theory, including, but not limited to, comparative constitutional theory, Indigenous constitutionalism, the influence of international perspectives on the drafters of the U.S. Constitution, and the role that the U.S. Constitution has played in shaping other constitutions around the world. If selected for publication, this Journal will also extend an offer to the Author to join us in New Orleans for the in-person symposium to present their research and participate in discussions with fellow authors and constitutional scholars.

We are unable to accept submissions from student authors currently pursuing their J.D. Given that this issue is larger in scope, we encourage the submission of shorter articles, preferably below or between 10-15,000 words to allow for a higher number of articles to be featured in this publication. We strongly prefer a Microsoft Word (.docx) format. Submissions will close for Issue Two on January 15, 2027, or when we fill our publication needs. Acceptances are made on a rolling basis.

We encourage you to submit your most innovative, daring, and impactful work for consideration. We look forward to reviewing your submissions!
